Mr David Oswald Chair of Governors (Co-opted) |
I've been a Governor at Lowe's Wong Infants for ten years, I started as a Parent Governor and then I was persuaded to stay on. I'm currently Chair of Governors, which sounds quite daunting, but is made very easy by having such a great team, who get stuck into the Governors' roles of setting direction and supporting and constructively challenging the school's work. I am link Governor for "Reading for Pleasure" and for the post-Ofsted Rapid Action Plan. |

Mrs Jane Stead (Co-opted) |
I became a Parent Governor 28 years ago, without really understanding what role a Governor plays in school life, despite being by profession a secondary school teacher. I stayed on as a community governor when my girls left the school and have been both chair and vice-chair. As the "veteran" Governor, I have seen the school through many changes and have also witnessed how a diverse group of people with varying strengths and perspectives on the school can bring challenge, advice, and above all support to the staff and pupils. |

I am a Dad of two boys, one who is a current pupil at the school and one who's now at the Junior school. As a Governor, I am passionate about ensuring that all children experience an aspirational and well-rounded curriculum that prepares them effectively for their next steps in education. I feel strongly that every child has the right to a fantastic education and that their needs should be met first and foremost through quality first teaching in the classroom. I have been in education for the past twelve years, predominantly in the primary education sector including seven years as Headteacher of two large primary schools. I am looking forward to being able to use my skills and experience to further strengthen and support the leadership team at Lowes Wong to ensure the very best education for all of its pupils. |
