Week beginning Monday, 29th June

Over the next 2 weeks we will be answering our Enquiry Theme question ‘How can history tell a story of the past?’ by presenting all the information we have learnt in History in a booklet.  We will also further enhance our historical and geographical knowledge of our local area whilst on our residential to Sherwood Forest.   

Continuing to focus on the text ‘The Minpins’ the children will learn to create nouns using suffixes –ment and –ness and apply this when writing a character description of the character Billy. The children will also look at exciting verbs used in the text and apply these in their writing to add detail and engage the reader.  

In Maths, we will be learning about capacity and temperature. We will be comparing volume and capacity and learning about millilitres and litres, temperature, thermometers and the unit “degrees Celsius”, written °C.
