Week beginning Monday, 16th March

In English, we will begin to focus on a new poetry text called 'The Owl and the Pussy-Cat' by Edward Lear and Charlotte Voake.  The children will explore the themes of the poem, write in role as the characters, and create adjectives using the suffixes –ful and –less.  

In Maths, we will complete the unit on money. The children will learn how to find change and solve two-step problems. We will then begin our unit of work on length and height starting with how to measure in centimetres.  

In Design and Technology, the children will continue to design and make an interactive page for a book about The Great Fire of London. Their books will include a slider and a lever.  

In History, we will learn about how Tudor houses were built and how that helped the Great Fire Of London to spread so quickly.
