Week beginning Monday, 7th September

In Maths we will begin our new unit of place value within ten.  

In English we will begin our new text ‘The Journey Home’ We will be looking at adjectives to describe the animals we think are in the story.  

In Phonics, we will be doing a review of the sounds learnt in Foundation.  

Our Enquiry theme ‘What makes a good leader’. In History, we will discussing what makes a good leader and what qualities a good leader might have. We start Ball Skills this week and will be starting our unit of ‘Feet’, exploring how to dribble and keep the ball close. In PE, we shall be starting our unit on Health and Wellbeing and begin to understand what we mean as exercise and why it is so important. In PSHE, we start our ‘Me and my relationships’ unit –discussing classroom rules.
