Week beginning Monday, 2nd February

In Maths, we will continue with addition and subtraction. We will be learning how to use doubles and near doubles. We will also be learning how to subtract within 20 using our knowledge of number bonds. For example, if children know the number bond 7 – 5 = 2, then they know that 17 – 5 = 12. 

In Art, we will be looking at Inuit artists and focusing on sculptures.  

In English, we will continue to look at our book ‘Leo and the Octopus’. We will be looking at how to write a range of questions and using conjunctions like ‘but’ to extend our sentences.  

For Science, we will be learning about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.  

In Music, we will continue to learn ‘In the Groove’ and play the glockenspiels.  

In PE, we will be exploring wide, narrow and curled movements together.
