Week beginning Monday, 9th February

In our English, we will be writing a non-fiction report about octopuses using subheadings to organise our work.  

For Maths, we will be subtracting numbers within 20– using ‘counting back’, ‘finding the difference’ and using ‘related facts’ to help solve our problems. 

In Art and Design, the children will be applying their skills for sculpture- to create clay ‘inukshuk’ models- in an inuit style. 

In PSHE, we will be supporting the learning of ‘Safer Internet’, and thinking about how to stay safe when using the internet and where to go to help if they encounter something they have concerns about. 

In Music, we will be learning the notes we will be playing in our performances of ‘In the Groove’, with glockenspiels.
