Week beginning Monday, 27th April

In Maths, we will be continuing our unit on multiplication and division focusing on ‘making doubles’ and making equal groups by both ‘grouping’ and ‘sharing’. 

In English, we conclude our book ‘Dinosaurs and all that rubbish’. The children will be writing and publishing a pamphlet on how to look after the planet. We will focus on using the suffixes ‘-er’ and ‘ing (for present progressive tense)’.

For Phonics, we continue to review our ‘alternative sounds’ and practise for the upcoming screening tests. 

During Science, we will be planting lettuce seeds for summer. We will be discussing when we plant different crops and the conditions needed to grow well. 

For Computing, we will be using Purple Mash to use the additional direction keys as part of their algorithm.

In PE, we will be learning how to use control and co-ordinate their bodies to perform a motif. This will include paired work and mirroring short sequences.
