Week beginning Monday, 26th January

In English, we will begin to look at our new book ‘Leo and the Octopus’ and consider the feelings of the characters. In maths, the children will be starting their ‘addition and subtraction to 20’ unit. The learning will focus on counting on within 20 and making number bonds to 20.  

For Science, we continue our Animals unit- learning about reptiles and comparing groups of animals based on their features. PE continues with an introduction to ‘curled’ shapes in gymnastics on floor and apparatus. 

For Art, we are learning to control the types of marks we make with a range of media and draw from imagination- to apply the style of Kenojuak Ashevak. In Geography, we look at seasonal and weather patterns around the world.
